  1. Please could you update the app so that the start place defaults to the end place of the previous journey logged?
    Thanks.

      1. It does… have you downloaded the latest version (1.8.4)? The templates are a bit flaky, so I’ve deleted mine. So far… so good.
        Taking plenty of backups!

  2. Yes, I agree. There’s a bug where the previous ending mileage doesn’t automatically fill in for the next start mileage entry.

  3. Please fix this app asap!
I use it daily and since the last update I’ve lost over half of the address locations and the app crashes constantly. Have to make same entry multiple times for it to take.

  4. New version crashes. I bit the bullet & restored (eventually) from a backup taken last month, but it still crashes.
Doing my mileage report this month will be difficult & I’m having to resort to pen and paper to record my journeys.
The previous version worked fine… please fix this release asap…

  5. I’m working on the crash issues right now. I haven’t figured out the causes of the crashes. For those who’re experiencing crashes, please post details. Something like, I did x, y, and z, and then the app crashes.

  6. I identified the cause of the most frequent crash. That type of crash seems to happen when a user changes the log usage field with the rate field disabled in the settings. The fix will be submitted to App Store soon today. It’s going to take a bit of time for Apple to approve the new version. I expect a day or two. They are quite fast these days. In the mean time, users can enable the rate field in the settings temporarily until the next version(1.8.3) becomes available in the App Store.

If you’re experiencing other type of crashes, please post here with details. I’ll respond to them as quickly as possible.

  8. Hi Michael, I’m trying to release 1.8.4 with better a crash reporting tool integrated. If no problem, it’ll be live today or tomorrow. After you install 1.8.4, probably I’ll be able to help you. So please stay in put.

  9. Hi Michael, new version 1.8.4 is released to App Store. It has better crash reporting tool. If you update the app and let it crash, I’ll be able to see the crash details. One crash should be good enough.

    1. I’m finding 1.8.4 a little flaky. I’m trying to backfill some missing recited for December (had to restore an earlier backup), but it crashes intermittently.
I have to back up every few entries or risk losing my input.
I notice from the screen I can see when I look at the running apps is missing the last few records I entered.
Hopefully you should have a crash report?

      1. In addition, there is an issue with templates. App crashes when a template is amended, so deleted them & tried to recreate, but it crashes again (though the app can be opened again).
        Roll on 1.8.5 ?

  10. I love this app and have used it for years! However, this last update deleted nearly all of my saved locations. I had over 200 locations but now I am restricted to 30.

It seems to me the original version had this limitation but was expanded a couple of uears ago. Have we now reverted back to this unnecessary restriction? It is a real hassle to neve to constantly retype location names. And no, I do not go to the same place every day.

  11. Really like the new look. Thank you for the update.
I have been experiencing a crash when I create a new log for a previous date. (I.e. I create a log for Jan 3, 2017 on Feb 1, 2017) I get all the way through, but when I tap on “Done”, the app crashes. The entry gets logged though.
    Thanks again!

  12. I have the latest version. 1.84. The start odometer reading still doesn’t auto-fill from the previous trip. It always starts at zero. Please fix this. It’s a convenience usability issue. You’ve said this bug was recently fixed but it isn’t. I even tried with a brand new data file on the assumption that mine was corrupted, but the bug remains.

  14. I just updated my iPhone to the latest version and now my mileage log no longer recognizes that I have an email account set up to send reports. It tells me ‘an email account has not been set up on this device’. I tried a different email address under settings but the message remains the same. Help.
